What's offered

Six ways in. Any of them counts as a start.

Individual

Individual therapy

One-on-one time to name what you need and turn it over without hurry. For depression, anxiety, trauma, compulsive behavior — or simply for a neutral person to check your thinking against.

Family

Family therapy

A new baby, an illness, a job lost, a death. Family work is where you see your own role clearly, name the behaviors holding the problem in place, and find a new balance.

Couples

Couples therapy

Both people, one room, everything on the table. Recognize the pattern, work the conflict through, and get practical about the choices you're each making. Open to couples of all kinds.

Premarital

Premarital counseling

Deeper than the usual premarital hour. We assess across the whole relationship and hand you tools you'll still be using in year ten.

Group

Group therapy

Work alongside a few people carrying something similar. Groups form as there's need — call to ask what's running now.

Meet the provider

Joseph Alan Rowell

Licensed Professional Counselor · Nationally Certified Counselor

Joseph grew up in rural Arkansas, where quiet water and long walks did a fair amount of the work a therapy room does now. He tries to bring some of that stillness into the office on Rahling Circle.

He has eighteen years in the helping professions, nine of them licensed, including work with detained and high-risk youth in juvenile detention centers and intensive outpatient programs. That history shows up as a steadiness about hard material — very little of it is new to him.

He works from cognitive behavioral, trauma-focused, and experiential approaches, with children, adolescents, adults, and families. The aim is long-lasting change: managing what's in front of you now, and having the skills ready for what comes next.

What happens next

Four steps, and none of them are big.

  1. You reach out

Call 501-476-5531 or send a note through the portal, and leave a way to reach you back.

  2. A short conversation

A short conversation about what's going on, what you're hoping for, and whether this is the right fit.

  3. We check your coverage

Give us the plan and we'll confirm what your visits will actually cost before you're on the hook for anything.

  4. The first session

In the office on Rahling Circle, or by video. Nothing is required of you except showing up.
